Covid-19 Pandemic Critical Needs Assistance

Cincinnati Pit Crew (CPC) understands that many pet owners are facing financial and resource hardships during the pandemic. Our organization may be able to provide temporary assistance to pet owners in need. Due to the anticipated number of pet owners in need, our ability to provide assistance may be limited and may not be immediate. If you are in need of assistance with pet needs at this time due to the pandemic, please complete our Owner Support Request Form.

Due to the current pandemic, CPC has also implemented a freeze on our rescue operations. Many of our officers and volunteers have compromised immune systems and our currently adoptable dogs are safe in their current foster situations. We will be back up and running as soon as we feel it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please complete our General Contact Form.

Cincinnati Pit Crew Needs Foster Homes!

Foster Request Card.JPG

Cincinnati Pit Crew (CPC) is in need of foster homes so that we can save the lives of dogs who are in desperate need of rescue. Our local shelters are overcrowded and there are dogs that need our help! Foster families provide love and structure to a dog in need and CPC supports foster families by providing training, supplies, and covering the cost of all veterinary care and food. If you have ever considered fostering a dog, now is the time! CPC will work directly with foster families to select a dog that fits your lifestyle and circumstances. If you would like more information about fostering, please e-mail info@cincinnatipitcrew.org.

If you would like to foster for CPC, please complete our Foster Application on our website.

Cincinnati Pit Crew (CPC), est. 2012

Cincinnati Pit Crew (CPC) was established in April 2012, by four Cincinnati women sharing a passion for animal rescue and “pit bull” dogs. Having worked with a number of rescues and organizations, each of the four women brought a unique perspective and skills set to the new CPC team.  In May 2012, CPC celebrated the repeal of the ban on “pit bull” dogs in the City of Cincinnati side-by-side with City Council members and responsible dog owners in a historic rally on Fountain Square and a Responsible Ownership Walk through the streets of downtown, something many owners had feared doing for many years. Since beginning rescue operations in June 2012, CPC has facilitated the adoption over 150 “pit bull” dogs into loving and responsible homes and has expanded programming beyond just rescue operations to include education, community outreach, and owner support programs. CPC has established strong relationships with local political and business stakeholders as well as partnered with neighborhood organizations and has built a solid reputation within the Greater Cincinnati community as an organization aimed at creating safe and humane communities through education about, advocacy for and rescue of “pit bull” dogs.
